StopLight is suitable for protecting PCs and laptops running DOS or Microsoft Windows. StopLight requires a valid name and password to gain access to the hard disk. Trustee assignments provide protection for sensitive drives, files and directories. StopLight can prevent software piracy and can allow only authorized programs to run. Its keyboard lock protects against prying eyes, and its secure audit trail reports program usage, data access, and violation attempts. Adjustable user security features include config.sys and autoexec.bat protection, data encryption, DOS Shell and Ctrl-C disable, printer and floppy drive access control, password management, and secure diskettes that are unreadable outside the organization. The security monitor is written in assembler and takes up only 11K of conventional memory. VirusNet/Pro and Drive-In are included to provide powerful virus protection and menui Safetynet for information about StopLight for OS/2. StopLight(R)/ELS - Entry Level Security for PCs and Laptops ----------------------------------------------------------- The entry level version of StopLight is ideal for securing laptops and stand-alone PCs. It protects the hard disk from unauthorized access and has a keyboard lock and screen saver. Its audit trail tracks program and file activity. Each user on the system can have separate security profiles. Its PC Checkup program provides detailed system information, and can revive hard disks that fail because of boot track viruses and disk corruption. StopLight/ELS requires only 11K of conventional memory. StopLight(R)/LAN - Network Security System ------------------------------------------ StopLight/LAN provides security, virus protection, disaster recovery and menuing for networks. Protection is available on bootup or network login, securing PCs and diskless workstations. Workstation security is centrally installed and maintained from the server. StopLight/LAN provides hard disk access control, single-signon, keyboard lock/screen saver and secure files, directories, floppy drives, and I/O ports. StopLight/LAN uses 12K of memory overhead and can be loaded into high memory. VirusNet/Pro is included for virus scanning, removal and disaster recovery. The Drive-In/LAN menu, also included, uses no memory overhead and automatically displays only menu choices that the user is allowed to run. Supported platforms include NetBIOS-based networks such as IBM LAN Server and all Novell Netware networks. Support will be available soon for Banyan Vines without NetBIOS loaded. LAN Scheduler & Distribution - LANSD(tm) ---------------------------------------- LANSD gives the network administrator unprecedented power and control over software distribution, event scheduling and virus protection. LANSD manages all activity through the Network Console desktop, providing effortless control over several or hundreds of PCs. Workstations can be organized into groups for easy sharing of LANSD profiles. Software distribution installs and maintains files from the network to the workstation or from network to network. Each workstation group can run up to 100 scheduled events, including hard drive backups and virus scans, and one-time network messages. Schedules are centrally defined to run during workstation bootup, network login, or in the background when MS-Windows is started. LANSD manages the details for you, copying required scheduler files and maintaining each workstation's AUTOEXEC.BAT and WIN.INI files. It can automatically install and maintain itself on all workstations in a group. LANSD has been designed to work with all networks that support a DOS client. It is supplied with identical DOS and Windows versions, making it ideal for all your users. Full context-sensitive help, with step-by-step examples, is also provided. ProfileNet(tm) - Workstation Hardware and Software Inventory ------------------------------------------------------------ ProfileNet identifies workstation hardware and software for inventory control and allows central modification of workstation startup files. It can automatically scan workstations at selectable intervals with inventory data saved to the server. A software database identifies programs and keeps track of software license agreements. New programs and unknown file tracking allow the database to be easily expanded. User information, a full notepad, and a free-form database for each workstation allow related information to be tracked and provide help desk management information. Summary, detailed, and user-defined reports are provided and inventory information can be shared with dBase-compatible programs for custom reporting. Supported platforms include IBM LAN Server, Novell Netware, Banyan Vines, as well as stand-alone PCs. Drive-In(R) & Drive-In/LAN - No Memory Overhead Menu System ----------------------------------------------------------- Drive-In provides instant access to programs and DOS commands. Menu choices can be logically grouped, with up to twenty choices per menu and eight menu levels. Drive-In LAN provides shared and private menus, dynamic menu display and no memory overhead. By changing a user's network priviledges, menus will automatically change to reflect the new user rights. There are no scripts or compiler commands to learn. Password protection is available for each menu choice, including "Exit to DOS" and "Program Setup". When a menu choice is selected, you can prompt the user for additional information. File and directory windows assist the user's selection. Drive-In for Windows includes all of the features of the DOS version plus a dynamic toolbar of your most commonly run programs.
